WELCOME:
Ramona is fly-in country.  We want you to come and be part of a great air show.  We plan on a lot of flying.   After you land, taxi to the transient ramp next to the  CDF ramp.  We will have you shut down on the taxiway short of the actual ramp and we will help you move your plane to a parking spot.  This is required by the FAA because of the spectator activity on the ramp.   Watch for the RAMP RATS and all will go smoothly.  We look forward to your visit.  For more information contact:

Hours -  The airport will be closed from 1230 to 1600 for the air show.  Please plan to be on the ground by  1200.    

Arrival Procedures
Obtain current weather on 132.025.  If north of Ramona - contact ATC on 119.875 at the Wild Animal Park.  If south of Ramona contact ATC on 119.875 at San Vicente Reservoir.  If unable to reach tower on 119.875, expect downwind entry regardless of your position.   Call ground on 121.650 after exiting runway.  Ground controller will assign parking.  You may have to shut down on the taxiway and be pushed/towed to your parking spot due to spectator activity on the ramp.
In the event of radio communication problems - Use Unicom frequency of 122.95  or - Overfly the field at 1500' AGL and wait for light gun signal.
 
Departure procedures - Look for staff to assist with egress.  If you leave during show hours you will be restricted to not starting up until pushed/towed to the taxiway.   Obtain weather on 132.025.  Call Ground on 121.650 prior to taxiing.  Advise ground control of your direction of flight.  When you are #1 for take off, contact the tower on 119.875.

Parking - There is limited parking.  Please bring your chocks (no event tie-down available). Priority parking is given to antiques, warbirds, classics, and homebuilts on the event ramp.  Overflow parking is available at the transient ramp next to the tower.

Pilot/Aircraft Registration - After securing your aircraft obtain your wristbands from the ramp crew.  Check in at Pilot Registration and register your aircraft.   Air Show information, prop cards, and programs will be available there.  Lunch will be served in the hospitality tent.  

Historical Aircraft Exemption
 Ramona Air Show Benefit is a designated display show for historical aircraft owners.  Displays dates will be June 23 & 24, 2007.  Certificates of Participation will be signed by a Display/Event Coordinator located at the Pilot/Aircraft Registration.  

Overnight Camping
 
Overnight camping is available and you are welcome to do so.  Please be advised that the facilities are very primitive with only portable lavatories.  No electrical or water is  available.  Check for site location at the Pilot Registration.

Aircraft Fuel Services
 
Pacific Executive Aviation (760-789-6384):   100LL and Jet A available.  PEA monitors Unicom (122.95) for fuel calls.
Chuck Hall Aviation (760-789-8178):  100LL and Jet A available.
